It is on the Surf Coast, just between Torquay and Anglesea. It is the home of the annual Rip Curl Pro, held every Easter, the oldest professional surfing contest in the world. This is not the type of contest where you see guys in red and yellow caps paddling surf skis! This is where you will find true surfers, ripping the waves apart to the delight of thousands of people perched on the cliffs and lining the beach.
